Description

Bali: Island of the Gods. The mere mention of Bali instantly conjures up images of sun-drenched beaches, bright green paddy fields and enchanting temples.
Those of us who have been to Bali, have lost their heart to this magical island. Bali exudes serenity and her beauty keeps touching the heart of millions.

The beautiful Indonesian island is voted year after year as one of the world’s favorite holiday destinations by travelers all over the globe.
Although Bali is rapidly changing, the Balinese have managed to maintain their devotion to their spiritual belief.
All over the island, you will find Hindu statues and shrines and if you’re lucky, you might even run into a traditional ceremony.

Offerings are essential to Hindu ceremonies in Bali. The Balinese use handmade boxes for these offerings, which are filled with rice, incense and an array of fresh flowers.

These beautifully handmade and hand-painted boxes add a stylish Balinese element to your home while complementing as efficient storage space.

Please note, the items may vary in size and weight slightly – this is due to the unique way in which they are made.

Such a great day! ✨ @balibliss.nl is featured in the brand new edition of @libelle Living! As a small business, it’s hard to compete with large interior brands (especially those that only recently discovered Bali as a haven for beautiful interior items), and it’s a bit frustrating sometimes to see shops describing Balinese keben (offering baskets) and bokoran (aluminum boxes used at ceremonies as well) only as ‘storage boxes’. Though they are very suitable for storage, to @balibliss.nl and the people of Bali they are so much more than objects for storage. They are used for offerings during Hindu ceremonies and when you are in Bali, you’ll see women in their most colorful sarong and kebaya carrying these keben on their head en route to a temple. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With these offering boxes and other beautiful handmade items from Bali, we hope you’ll keep a bit of Bali in your home and in your heart ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A huge thank you to Paula from @colorenco and @anjabasbacker from @table_joy for finding their way to the bali bliss webshop and featuring our items in their beautiful shoot. And thank you @libelle for giving Dutch interior lovers an insight to beautiful interior gems from all over the globe. Libelle Living is in stores now, get your copy this Summer! ☀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ?: @libelle #balibliss #baliblissnl #libelle #libelleliving #libellelivingspecial #interiordesignmagazine #webshop #shop #bliss #bali #balistyle #balishop #balishopping #shoppinginbali #interior #interiordesign #interiorstyling #interiorinspo #bohostyle #bohodecor #baliinteriordesign #baliinteriors #baliinterior #storage #baskets #offeringbaskets #keben #kebenbali #bokoran
